The Black Pearl Ring is a gift from the shadow in the sanctum of the Temple of Hyath.
| Spoiler: The ring is later discovered to allow the shadow to watch and communicate with the Princess. It can be discarded, but if the ring is kept and the shadow's instructions followed, she will learn his true identity. If the Princess is in possession of the ring at the start of Part Two, Vico will comment on it. |
