Driders are intelligent creatures who have spiderlike bodies but humanoid torso and head. They dwell in the Underdark. According to rumors drider are actually a former drow who have been changed into their current form, though it is not clear if was done as a blessing or as a punishment. It is not uncommon to see driders and drow fighting each other.
