The River was an area of the netherworld that followed the Rocky Structure in the Planes. It is where new souls were brought into the netherworld. These unfortunate souls were greeted by two Guardians, lead across the Bridge to the Bridge Keeper, and possibly sent further into the Planes.
| Spoiler: Upon arriving, the Guardians would attempt to strip the Princess of all equipment and possibly mate with her. It was possible to persuade one to fight the other, in return for favorable treatment. |
